SUPPLY CHANGE MANAGEMENT. REAL CASE

From my experience working in the material planning department, I performed following powerpoint presentation for the visit of the customer. 

First I give you a bit of background, the company dedicates mainly to the manufacturing of electronics cards that after are use in the automotive, medical and aerospacial sector among others. The customer I was working with was Honeywell company, that I knew them of the fans, I worked with the division dedicated to built planes, in Arizona (USA).

The main goal of following presentation was to provide a grafic understanding of the Supply Change Process, since the reception of a purchase order, till the goods are shipped from the plant.

I would like to add that due to the kind of product, the manufacturing of the product was done once the purchase order was placed, but the plannification of the the material was based a 12 months forecast that customers provided in a monthly basis.

For any of you that is not familiar with MRPs (Materials Requirements Planning),  is a production planning and inventory control system used to manage manufacturing processes. Most MRP systems are software-based, while it is possible to conduct MRP by hand as well.

An MRP system is intended to simultaneously meet three objectives:
